I started this venture with Airtronics, then went to Hitech, then Futaba and back to Airtronics. Just can't beat the reliability and simple programming. I just wish they would throw in multiple servo per surface matching so I could get rid of the matchboxes and just run the dual rx's and be done with it
Although, I think I would have to have more channels to allow 3 servos per wing. A 14 channel radio would work just fine
Yep!! I was kinda having an issue with the slow product development last year about this time. I learned that the 10GS only changed a few things from the 10G over just the nicer case and it kinda upset me.
But I did a lot of shopping and just couldn't force myself to leave (some of that is my family has been using Airtronics since the late 70's lol). I will never buy Futaba (I just kinda have a thing against Hobbico, personal thing) so that left JR, Spectrum and Hitec. Hitec has GREAT servos but as for Transmitter and RX tech, they are only a small step ahead of ATX because of telemetry (which I have no use for).
We have a DX18 to test fly our sUAS platforms for work, and I'm never really impressed with it. Seems like the programming is cumbersome and I don't know if it has the channel assignability that the 10G does (or at least I cant figure out how to do it! lol).
Never owned a JR, but I don't really care for the Idea of satellite receivers I just like my 2 antenna ATX.
Again, ALL OF THESE RADIOS ARE GREAT RADIOS, They just aren't for me.
But I also would love a 14-16 Channel radio from ATX with the FHSS-3 modulation cause the latency time is CRAZY fast. I do think that a Software download could at least give us a 4 servo aileron feature that would eliminate the need for matching devices for 100cc class birds which would just tickle me pink
