Yea I can't believe the cost of the new boats!!! I have to make mine last cause there is no way I am spending 100K for a new one. The only thing I wish I had is Perfect Pass and I'm sure I can add it fairly easy.

Yea, I had an 03' Malibu sportster LX before the axis. it didnt have perfect pass from the factory. I installed a used one (nearly impossible to find, but i got one off a totaled out boat online for $500) it was SUPER easy to install and since it was GPS based "stargazer" I hooked into the speedo, tach and hooked the servo to the throttle. Bolted right on and took just a few hours. New they run about $1200 but are SOOOO worth it. My wife did decent before PP, but she drives so much better now with it. its just one less thing to worry about. She can focus on the run and avoiding other boats rather than speed.

Haha, that is so true with the wife driving! I usually find a buddy to drive because she gets too stressed. I will keep my eye out for a used PP. The wife also wants a heater. I can install a new one for about $800 so I'm not sure what to get first. Probably the heater so she will go out on days that are less than perfect.

Is that time of year again! Not only is the depth of winter gone, water Temps are getting up there. I haven't been to the lake yet due to me finishing mh basement, but i havr the boat ready to go for memorial day weekend. (Although this is the latest i think i have ever made it out oh well such is life.)

I'm a ISAF member, race crew on a CS 33. My boats are a Venture 21, a Hunter 25, Glastron Ski Flite 1968 restored and I am in process restoring a 1985 Glastron CVX 16.

I am also a member of "Sails Up 4 Cancer" a cancer support group of sail boaters.
