Damn....and here I thought the secret was safe. Not ducted fan though. More like turbo prop. Should be just enough room for the turbine. Still have to figure out a way to direct the exhaust.

Believe me Rob if I had the funds I jumped on it in a heartbeat. Besides if it doesn't work out on the BH there are plenty of other planes that you can put that engine on.

You still have to get a turbo waiver if it's a turboprop engine? Or is it treated like a conventional gas engine since it uses a prop to generate thrust.

Turbine is still turbine, no matter if there is a gearbox attached to it or not. You gotta have a turbine waiver.

Which can be a pain in the azz...don't you have to buddy box for x number of flights and be certified by experienced turbo pilots before a waiver is issued? We have a few turbo pilots around here but not many.
