Let us know if you decide to go that rout! I'm really thinking about it myself.
As Summer is fading away here in Easter Idaho, I'm getting geared up to start on the fuse. Have a special guest showing up in a couple of weeks to help out with the build. Pics to follow. I've also seen that Balsa USA has a new covering material out called Planetex. Has anyone used it yet? It's over twice the cost of Sig Koveral, but is supposed to be a tighter weave for better paint coverage.

Stuck on Stits, or rather the scale version Stits Lite, but curious to hear more about this one.
Why are you using sig dope.
All I can say is I have painted many planes with sig dope and yes it is light but difficult to work with and takes many coats to get decent coverage, and it pulls away from the corners if don’t get it just right. Tried Stits paint and have NEVER looked back just no comparison. Stits is just as light. Just my experience. It's the only thing I've used in the past. Mainly because of it's fuel proof properties back in my nitro days. I've looked at some of the automotive paints and they are way more expensive. Latex paints seem heavy, or is it a misconception?? The planes I've painted with dope come out nice and light. I'm up for learning new things if there's better!!
