Getting some of the wing mods figured out. I'm going with one extra rib on the ailerons, and flaps. The wing will also have a wing tube extending into the 5th rib. I'll probably remove the forward dowl, since I'll be using a wing tube. I'm also switching rib #2, " ply" with rib #5, balsa. Flaps will start at rib 3.

Built a jig and got started on modding the wing ribs for the wing tube.

It's supposed to have some, but I'm thinking of doing a flat wing. If I add dihedral, I'll have to wobble out the bottom of the wing tube holes once I can mount the wing up to the fuse, to properly align them. I think it would be about an 1/8" down on rib 5, then gradually smaller to the root rib. Definitely doable, just more work.

I also went ahead and drilled the holes in the root rib for the servo wires and the wing bolt.

Did the same for the fuse formers. I had to drill out the rear dowel location as well. The factory punch must have been a little weak that day.

Need a little help on the wing tips. Not a lot of info included. It seems that the last two ribs are supposed to be level with the top of the wing, though they are smaller ribs. But I'm thinking that the last rib is supposed to be some where inbetween. You can see that I've used some scrap balsa to lift the last two ribs and make them level with the top of the wing. Is this right??

Regarding the wing tips, full scale shot minus the fabric shows the spar angling from both top and bottom at the tip.

Thanks for posting that! It looks like the last rib is kind of in the middle.
