Well, a little progress this weekend on the big Don Smith Mustang. I started "truing" up the wing saddle and test fitting the center section of the wing to the fuse. Fits ok, but definitely needed some sanding on the three formers that make up the wing saddle cradle. But I think I have it pretty close now. Next I will have to set the wing at 1 degree positive incidence. Once I have that set, I can set the wing bolt blocks. Made of hard wood, they will be epoxied on the top side of the saddle cradle formers. Thus when the wing bolts are installed and pull the wing to the fuse saddle, it will pull against the entire length of the saddle cradle. Lots of construction to still get done. One day at a time.... LOL
