There are different ways of doing this, and I have done it in many different ways:
1. One way is to use masking tape, and tape all the pieces together and not use any edge glue at all. (done this many times).
2. 2nd way, is to edge glue with thin CA, and then sand joint down.
3. Is to use masking tape, open the joint, place some titebond glue in, close the joint, and then let it cure for a good 24 hours or so. If you handle it sooner than this, or at least, in my hands, it falls apart.
I am doing a combination of all of the above.
But, something else I learned, if you do not have tight joints, when the time comes to put it thru the vacuum process, glue (epoxy or PU glue) will seep thru, and bond the shuck to the sheeting.
