You've been busy covering the tail pieces , i like the red stripes with the black accent lines .
I like the way you use the ammonia to set and squeegie the trim into place .
The glass kote paint , is it water base or does it have or old school chemical paints...like the matching color to the covering .
The temp just drop to 23f (-5c)and snowing and going down to 5 to -7.6f (-15 -22c) tonite . Winter is finally arrived
Hello Rusty, thank you!
I would have called it winter the moment the weather got to 50 degrees Fahrenheit!!
LOL
Klass Kote is good ole fashion Epoxy paint.
In the old days, there was a similar paint K&B
the paint is mixed 1 to 1 with a catalyst. SO mixing is involved.
Also, primer has to be laid down first, and it all has to be done within 24 hours, so that the paint has a chemical bond to the primer.
Meaning, Prime, wait 1 hour, prime again, wait another hour, possibly one more coat, or wait 3 to 4 hours, and sand it down. then time to start spraying paint.
When preparing the paint, the paint can be brushed on, or, it can be sprayed on. Spraying it on can be done with a HVLP gun or with an air-brush for smaller jobs, or even a cheap system known as Pre-Val.
No matter what you do, you must paint in a well ventilated room, and you must use a face mask to protect your eyes and lungs, and even your ears!!
DOn't let that paint get on your skin either, a real nasty mess!
