But haven't there been issues with the eme60 burning up front bearings or something?

I've heard some mentions of that... Figuring I only fly my big plane a few times, twice a month, I figure I've got a little time before I'm in trouble :)

78 or larger MXS? Any rumors? I've been getting really inspired by Rob Holland and I think a big MXS may have to be on my wish list.

Only the rumors of the electric coming soon, but when exactly, nobody knows.

I'm up to 100 flights on my 48'' Extra EXP now and i love more every flight! I have to say this is definitely my favorite 48'' that i've flown. I loved all the Extras that i've had so it makes sense that i'd love the Extra in this size too. This little plane really loves to be pushed hard. The faster you fly the more locked in it gets, it's awesome. You can practice precision even in some heavy winds with this plane. The other day it was so windy that i thought i'd just bash the sticks a bit but once it was in the air it was cutting through the wind great and drawing some sweet lines. The plane slows down nicely too. It does like to have a little more forward motion in post stall moves compared to the Edge but that's to be expected. It fits my style though because when i harrier i don't like slowing the plane to a stop(well sometimes i do ). I like when the plane can keep some speed up in a harrier and stay stalled. I really want to light it up for night flying so the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down

I'm very happy with my purchase!

Sounds great Joe.
I'm a bit of an extra300 fan as well.
Haven't owned the 48" but love the 60" 70" and 91" every bit as much as the other.

I've got quite a few flights on the 64" MXS now and I must say that I love the 60" extra just that little bit more, I think because it slows down and floats better then the MXS. But for all out fun the MXs is wild but a lot more on the edge of control compared to the extra.

Must wreck my beaten up 60" extra so I can replace with nice (straight) shiny new one. Don't you just hate it when the two crashes, first one was a crackshaft too low that had me smack the ground on the landing gear and bust a few formers.

Second was wasn't even my fault, one of the plugs on the motor snapped at the wire and she dead sticked out of a high speed wall.

Great planes, each and every one of them.
