Bipenut, I hope your recovering well :concern:[/QUOTE]

Hey Spats, you are making some pretty good progress. I'm doing much better with my back so I should be out in the shop this weekend to get more work done. As far as your question on the wood I'm not sure, maybe Rick or Terry will chime in and tell us what they did on there planes.

Could you please explain what you are talking about replacing

Thanks

Adam

These pieces are glued onto the leading edge and trailing edge on the hinge line of the wings, stabs after cutting out the control surfaces. They are cut in and angle and the thicker they are the more angle they can be cut.

Thanks Rick. I spent so much on the 1/2" stock I may laminate another piece on rather than buy more 3/4" or just leave it and hope for the best.

I believe I used 3/4" on the stabs / wings and 1/2" on the surfaces.......I may have used 5/8" on the surfaces, can't tell now that it's covered.

Brings me to another question I think I now the answer too: It won't hurt to use one side that is cut more in an angle? I think that's what you are saying Terry?

Thanks,

One side is always more of an angle....even on most ARF's. I go for max angles on all my stock, I think on my Viper for instance I set my table saw angle 5 times.
