I’m going out flying thread 2019

My club started a construction project last Friday. We're putting up a 24' x 80' pavilion. They got an amazing amount of work done Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There are some very hard working guys in this club, and they usually get a good turnout for project days. My knees, back, and ladder allergy keep me from helping, but I'll do my part some where else.

I had a helicopter with me and one guy asked if I could hover overhead like a fan, but I had to pass.

Here are a few pictures. Boy were those Palm Nailers worth there weight in gold on long ring shank nails.

Went to a little fly-in in Eureka MO Saturday afternoon. Stayed till midnight. Good friends, good pizza and lots of great flying. As usual, I was so busy having fun I only remembered to snap a few pics.

Spent the morning and most of the afternoon noon flying but had to quit at 3 no more fuel. My buddy forgot to bring his fuel can so we had to share mine and we were out of at 3 pm so we cleaned up and went home. Great day at the field.

No flying today but before the rain came we took our nephew out for putt putt, laser tag, arcade games, and go carts at our local sports park. He had never been on a go cart before and did great having a great time. Though I don’t think he was appreciative of me giving him the ole bump and run passing him on the outside of turn 4. (This all while hearing the voice of Harry Hogg saying “if you go to the outside, you can hold”).

Anybody know that movie quote?

Had a blast yesterday at this year's Giant Scale Fun Fly, hosted by the Coffee County Airfoilers.
Good turnout and awesome weather!!

Finally flew the new-to-me Cessna 170 for the first time.
After a few anxious moments on the maiden with the Aura gyro, I plugged in the laptop and turned it all off.
Next flights were much better!
