Thing I found with most Vess props is that I can go up a pitch size and still get the same or more rpm and power than other props with the lesser pitch. Most Vess props I ever flew allows considerably more rpm than any other brand of the same basic length and pitch. And iv'e noticed that if I go a pitch size higher with the Vess, it doesn't rip and still performs. Some Vess props more than others, but most of them.
I haven't tried any Falcon props yet, but I suspect they have a similar "scimitar shape, that might have somthing to do with it.

Falcon is like Mej. With less weight less cost and more options. I used to be a Vess guy, now everything I have is Falcon.

Also Steve Thomas the US distributor of Falcon is a great guy, so it's a no brainer.

Falcon and Mejzlik are not the same. I have thousands into props and can say this with some conviction. Falcons are lighter and spool faster. They are also thinner. The Mej tend to be quieter and the evo line of props are wonderful.
Mej also wins on the size selection in the bigger sizes. Falcon wins in the 17-20" range. They both have standout props.
Goto to a IMAC contest and I think you will see that Mejzlik dominates in that arena.
Falcon is typically a better 3D prop.

FACT! a constant sound at a given level will attract less attention and annoyance than something a quieter and changes pitch and sound level constantly. It is not an exact science but listen to sirens. They change tone up and down to make you take notice.

I have been going to Nall off and on since 2004 and every year its the same thing Please don't rip the prop,
Please don't fly full throttle, and as soon as the engines starts someone rips it down the line.
No matter how nicely the staff asks us to keep it down we fail to do so.
In fact I think this is the problem they ask us nicely!
As hard as it is for them to do so it is necessary to have black and white carved in stone concrete noise rules.
if there is even the slightest grey area some one will try to bend the rules, its just human nature to do so.
So what we know for sure is there will be sound monitoring in place
What will the DB limit be? "unknown at this time"
If you violate the noise limit more than once you be asked to land your plane
repeatedly violate the noise limit and you will be asked to leave the event.
Oh and lets not forget no flying at full throttle.
I hope this works but I doubt that everyone will obey the rules and here again the problem
is their asking us nicely to control our selves.
But at least this time they will be monitoring the noise levels and maybe this will be enough
to make everyone think twice before they rip it down the line, I guess we'll see.

A blown apart plane hitting spectators would definately get attention.Just need to post a couple of guys in each flight area with shotguns. Some pilot comes by ripping the prop.......just shoot the plane down. Probably only need to shoot down one to get everyone's attention.
