Here are some picture of the progress on my Sukhoi. I did a really nice job on the tail wheel and rudder hookup. I still have to seal the hinge line on the rudder and ailerons. Its getting there.--Smitty

I had to take a break, sciatica, too much time standing over the fuse. I'm back to it today. Got the DA and throttle set up. Switches and fuel dot are in. Started to pin the firewall. Receiver is located. Batteries and ignition are next. Bad weather for a while here I'm hoping to be ready to maiden before New Years.

The DLE-61 came in today as did all the batteries, switches, fuel dot, extensions for the servos and props. The props are from Wrong Way RC, they are laminated wood props that PAU had made. Started putting the servos in the wings. Will mount the servos in the stabs today. Does anyone know if the bolt pattern for a DA-50 is the same as a DLE-61? I need to find a template.--Smitty

Yes it is. The DA 50 pattern is used on the DLE61, DLE60 twin, EME (I think), DA60, DA70 that I know of for sure.

Terry the template that I downloaded for the 61 was not the same bolt pattern as the DA50. Wasn't even close.---Smitty

I assumed you were talking about prop bolt pattern. I always just measure the actual engine and measure on the firewall for proper placement. Too much to go wrong with a template.

Ok, to clear up a bunch of misinformation that I have been asking about. If you go to DLE's website and look up the DLE-61 look at the drawings. It shows a measurement from the back of the engine mount to the prop hub to be 6.77". Well that is BS. It is more like 4.00" which make a lot more sense. Tom was telling me that I needed to have 6.750" from the firewall and I look at the drawing and go I can't do that with this engine. LOL Got my engine down and measured , it was 4.00" so now all is good.
I have installed the switches, doing like Tseres did on his, mounting the black switches on the black stripe. Makes for a nice look. Have done the pull-pull cables on the rudder end. Installed the servos in the wing along with all control horns. In the process of installing the servos in the stabs.
It is really starting to look like something that will fly. Thanks to everyone for your help.--Smitty
