Made some real progress today, the motor support beam is in place and one top wood spar is glued in and the shear webbing is also in place. This taking a lot of work never done a motor like this. Trying to not get ahead of myself and glue something that blocks me from finish something else. Just have to fill in between the carbon beam and the motor. I have question do a leave a little air gap for crankcase cooling. I think if I leave about 3/32 gap that should be good. I have read that 4 stroke engine like to have some crankcase cooling. Looking at some of the newer Satio engines they cooling fins bolted to the crankcase.

Ok this took some patience to and a lot of wasted balsa sticks. I had to make a steam tube to make the balsa bend around the front part of the cowl. 1/4 by 1/4 sticks break real easy. But it is done now I need to plank the top half. also plane the method of bolting the bottom half on.

@stangflyer i am surprised you have not commented on this build for a Kolm engine. You were the inspiration to me to buy the engine when I watched you on the video when you ran your engine.

Sorry but it is slow going. Have to work around the engine and still make it removable. If you look at the photo you will see I forgot to install one bulkhead, I was to busy concentrating on the spars fitting around the exhausts. Will have to make the bulkhead fit in somehow. Also still trying to figure out how retain the bottom half of the cowl to the top half. While doing all this still have to install all the ducting to the second and third cylinders, before it gets closed in.

All in GSN I need some HELP, I have searched for several months and cannot find anything not an article or a picture from anywhere or forum. On how people have install air ducting to air cool a Kolm 3 cylinder engine In an aeroplane. Need help, directions or info. What I do know is that most of these engines are installed in WW2 planes, but nobody talks about cooling. Your help will be appreciate.

After gluing in the framework I decided before I continue to see if It can be remove and that I have not accidentally glued it some place. It came out real easy, so back in and continue.

Just sent an email to JR to help me, to the best of my knowledge the radio is not capable of handling 3 engine temperature feed backs. Hopefully they can help or if someone knows how to do it your help will be appreciated, thanks. The radio is T44.
