Ahh bike maintenance ... I am with ya Xpress. It is almost warm enough to commute in Northern AZ if you have heated gear. I took every Friday off for the next 3 months ... soooo today I'm getting one bike ready for the next track day and the other gets a new oil pan after whacking the bolt off jumping a curb to avoid a derpy cager.

We get to ride year round down here ;)

But this kind of maintenance should have been done a while ago... Looks like it's time to change the oil/filter now...

All these bike woes had me down at the motorcycle dealer today talking numbers with the sales guys about a new bike.... Making me go HMMM....

These are 16" I believe. I got them form the garage shelving Lowes has. I have to put the bigger planes on their sides to accomodate the short arm length.
Are they made to be set up the way you have them? All I have seen are the more traditional looking shelving systems.

I am somewhat ashamed to admit that I haven't built a kit for several decades - my building skills are mediocre.

And there are all these ARE airframes.

Now my eye is on a little 3d profile called a Primo 15.

I have no experience with a builder service. But thinking that might result in a better result.

Truth is flying is fun, building is a chore for me.

How do I pick a good builder? What kind of financial deal?
How do I tell if I got what I paid for?

Reccomendations please?

(Of course, I am prepared to hear " quit whining already, just build the darned thing ! )

Primo's are extremely easy to build... I've built two Mojo 25's, 2 Mojo 40's, and three Mojo 60's from the same designer. The Primo is easier than all of those. Profile planes are so easy to build, and the way Paul designs the wing construction, those are also really easy to build. You will have the thing built in literally 6-10 hours. Covering is a different story... I hate covering, and I always stall on that part. But constructing the baby Primo? Easy peasy... try it. Worst case a new P15 kit isn't much at all if you screw it up too badly :D

That's a tiny airplane. I can't imagine it would be terribly difficult to build it. Most modern kits come cut out so that everything is basically plug and play, meaning you literally build a jigsaw puzzle and glue it together.
