The day at the field had a surprise for me . Got to the field and no body had done anything at all, it was like when they got to the field saw that the grass was not cut and left. It was so long I spent quite some time mowing the grass. I had to mow the hole field twice to get it to look good and spread the grass around. But after that it was all good and the weather was pretty good except that it is starting to get cold ont he hands after a while.

You must practice those a lot... By the way, holding my laptop upside down made a big difference in viewing the video. That camera does take some nice video.

Actually that outing was only flight 5 and 6 on it. Both flights gave me a total of 4 videos (2 vids each). I think I had inadvertently activated the motion sensor and that is why it made two vids each flight. I am going to have to re-orient (invert) the camera lens so videos record / play correctly. "Power DVD player 14" software on my lap top allows me to invert the vid but I cant re-copy it that way.
The picture quality is very good. Just need to run the learning curve and I will get some decent videos.
For what its worth here is Part Duce.....And :yesss: that was a real air tractor landing LOL

I went to the flying field yesterday, but I didn't take anything to fly. I had a bad week last week and I never had the time to replace the servos in my Extra 260. When I was at the LHS a week ago Friday I bought new extensions. I didn't have the instruction manual for the plane so I went on line while I was there to find out how long the extensions needed to be. The manual says you need two 12" extensions, and two 18" extensions. I knew that was wrong because there are three servo's in the tail. . . . . .. Anyway, I bought an extra 18" extension. After lunch on Saturday, I removed the three servos in the tail of the Extra and proceeded to install the two elevator servos. They both went in easy peasy, but when I hooked the servo extensions up to the receiver, they were barely long enough. It was at that point I realized I was in trouble because the rudder servo in the Extra is about six inches further back in the fuse that the elevator servos are. . . . .. Unfortunately, by the time I got to that point the LHS had already closed, therefore there was no flying for me yesterday. . . . . :(. I will finish getting the servos in the plane this week so I will be back in business for this coming weekend. . . :big_yes:.

Hey Kelly,
You ever considered taking a job as a comedian? . . . . . . . .. I guess my first screw up was depending too much on the instruction manual for the plane to tell me what extensions I needed. Its all good though, after the Saturday I had, I didn't feel much like flying Sunday anyway. She'll be ready for this coming weekend though. . . . . . . :yesss:.

When I left for the field this morning it was 36 degrees. I thought going early was nuts, but Tony wanted to go early. My guess was his "Kitchen Pass" was only good in the morning. By the time I got there it was a toasty 40 degrees.

Honestly it wasn't bad at all. There was basically no wind, and it was nice and sunny. The wind picked up a little later, but it also got warmer, so it was a pretty good day.

The guy I've been helping get his 42% Aeroworks Extra 260 ready brought it out today. It did really well. The DA150 runs awesome! The Greeves tuned pipes have a great sound.

Looks like you had a good turnout today at Midwest. Besides the cold start, it was a beautiful day for sure.

Those of us with crappy internet sure do envy those of you with good internet. It took two minutes for your pics to fully load.
