Kelly life got in the way with Sukhoi,( car accident for wife, my truck went down timing belt, flying club issues, spending money, and dealing with drama queens, just bout got the best of me) but got her out today, and ran it a bit, gonna have to scrap that 27x3db prop get a 26 something. I need to do some research, and look at prop #'s. I'm only getting 5800 with that 273db, idle was good 1400-1500.

Donnie I know all to well about life flat out taking you down! If you can afford it a Falcon 26x10 or 27x9 or Mejzlik 27x8 will let the 85 go above 6400. The Xoar's are really high load! (I am guessing that is what u have).

It is Kelly, tried the 27 xoar 3db ( vess 27b) same prop, and then xoar 27x10 actually lost a few hundred more with the 10. I'm going for the Falcon CF, which would you try? 26x8 or 26x10? Just posted this question in the dle 85 thread also.

I like 'em "BIG"!
Got some stick time again today. Much like the rest of you, wind was up....wind was down. Wind was up....wind was down. I put three flights on the Sukhoi and three flights on the lil Edge. Unfortunately my rudder touching harriers were too much fun and mother earth and father wind put a KYBOSH on them for a few days. DOAH!!!! This is what happens when you touch the rudder in a hover, then the wind slams in into a cartwheel.... Ooopsie......

The upside to this was, no broken prop, damaged cowl, spinner or damaged fuse. Just some minor repairs and a lot of bruised ego mending to do. LOL

Guess I will have to do a repair thread now huh?

Yea, @crashflow and I were nuts. Took an hour or so to run to Who's hobby and I think the wind finally was just less than 20mph.....time to huck!!!! @aarestor also got in a quick flight before he had to take off to see his dad. Paul got three full flights on his new Viper so that was fun.

Thoughts and prayers going out to Gene and his family, his dad is not doing well and they are going through a rough time.
