Was a great day here in the Black Hills. All 30cc planes. The 4 of us had a great time. Tomorrow we start prep work for the Black Hills Air Rally. Runs thru the 24th-27th, sure to have a good time. I originally started this post on my phone, which was a pain. I not know what changed but i'm not doing that again.

Wow. Looks like you guys had a great turnout. And I see quite a few planes that you don't see every day. Nice to see something different once in a while. Thanks for sharing.

Guess who has been out playing in the sun with their 3 W redhead? I got four good flights on it today and those MTW 75's were just the ticket. She is definitely a keeper now!

@Shayne Epley brought out his lil Yak. 5 years, 3 airframes and 240ish flights and that lil DLE 55 still runs like a clock. Never in five years has it been pulled apart or sent for service. We definitely had a good time.

So ready for Tri-Cities Huckfest.

I got out today too!

Tony finally got to fly his big Carf Su-31. He said it flies better than ever and he really likes the added smoothness with the Demon Cortex.

The field was pretty empty today because it was hot and the humidity this morning was ridiculous. The dew point was in the mid 70's. About 11 o'clock a storm front rolled past and the wind that was non-existent earlier pick up to about 20 for about an hour, then calmed down enough to get another flight in and the humidity dropped a bunch. Tony and I both only got two flights in each, but it was a good day none the less.

One of the guys at the field had a bad day with a new DLE 120. It got so hot it locked up. It turned over after it cooled off, but it was done for. It had gotten so hot that the base on the plug I looked at was blue.

Good that all you guys made it to the field and got some flights in. The amount of time we spend getting them ready and then dodging the weather we have to make the best of it when we can.
@Jetpainter how did the new shim work for you.

Two good lookin' birds there! Glad you got some air time in. I sure wish I'd taken ya up on the Sukhoi. Bet your pal is happy. You do exquisite work.

I forgot to mention since I no longer have a 111 under the hood on the Edge, I have a real nice DLE 111 decal from B&E up for grabs. Anyone want a "FREE" DLE 111 decal for their very own? I know I won't be using it and I hate seeing it sit.

I carefully removed this from my Pilot Edge cowl to make room for the 3w graphics that now replace it.
Free to a good home.
