IMAC The new Dalton 300 SP / 330

LOL!! thank you for the compliment. I will always ask her first, before I go to the shop. She knows I work hard, and I provide for them best I can, but me going to the shop is relaxing for me.
Before I go there, I ask her, anything I can do for you?
Like today, I had to do a whole bunch of things, so I did not get to go to the shop.

Maybe later tonight i can sneak over there!

I finally got around to finishing one wing. It is hinged and beveled. All it needs now is to cover it.
I weighed it with servos, and total weight is 3 pounds and 3 ounces.

Still needs covering and the control horns, then I will reweigh.

Here are some pictures from this morning. I still have to do the other wing.

They are almost ready to cover. I will 1st, have to decide on a scheme,

then, I have to spray them down with hair spray, and then sand them smooth.

Then, the fun part.

Anyone have any suggestions on a scheme??

Just an update. SO the fuselage,. stabs, fin, wings are all ready.
motor is mounted, and so are the canisters.

I forgot to mention, each wing, as seen in the last picture, weighs 2 pounds and 13 ounces. Without servos, control horns, and covering.
So not bad!

The Cowl, is also set up with the baffle plate. It only needs a little bit of more work (cut out the bottom hole and make the air retention wall out of 1/2" thick balsa.

All that is left is the canopy/hatch area, and to drill and install the main landing gear.

More to come soon!

For now, I am looking for a scheme.

Cam, here are a few to look at, the top two is what Ron used as a base for his Dalton 300 SP, fifth one down is what I used as a base. Tom
