The main is 8' long by 3' wide, the other one is 6' long by 2' wide, and both are on wheels.Robert,

Difficult question I must say I am a fan of two servos for the elevator . The piano wire is not light. Maybe look at two mini servos. I think I would get a Scale out and then see how it all works out for weight.In the mind set of trying to drop as much weight as possible I am thinking about dropping one of the elevator servos. Thinking of going old school with a connecting wire and a horn brazed in the middle, maybe 1/8" piano wire. This bird will not fly 3D or even what one could call aggressively with normal flight rates of 12°. So what do you guys think about this idea?
Thanks but it's a bust. I bent a piece of 1/8" piano wire about two inch and it had to much flex. I weighed the servo with horn and it is only 2.9 ounce. I can use two heavy duty horns to make a couple bellcranks but then add in the carbon connecting rod with links and, ah hell, you get the idea. One thing does the plane build nose or tail heavy will also effect my decision.

The best and smartest route, I guess, would be to go with two low profile which combined would drop a hair over an ounce. Shoot, if I switched all the servos over to lightweight that would be nearly five ounce right there. Hmmmm…..
And looking at the Savox SV 1254, being HV I could lose the voltage regulators. That's a win win..
I remember that but this is 9" wide with very little room for substance in the ele's. I'm going to take the lighter servo option, that's the smartest and safest option. I went out to add the few pieces that were going to stay out until joining, being I'm not joining them, and the strips were not adhered. I guess it was the water. I pulled them all off with nothing left behind that is how much it did not glue. So tomorrow I will cut up some new strips and use wood glue, the sure fire adhesive for damp wood or any wood.
