what power/battery did you go with??
I'm not sure what our club trainer has on it as I have never actually flown it. As for me the two trainers I have are and old great planes PT-40 that I got from a club member and restored. I have a Gforce 3542 on it running on 4S power. Actually run a pair of 4S 2200's in paralell only as I need the weight to balance it.

Second is the Great planes 30cc Avistar which I have the T-motor AM670 combo on it. It runs on 6S again running a pair of 6S 4000's to acheive proper balance.

Both planes fly great though I'm thinking of getting the T-motor AM480 setup for the PT-40. The gforce pulls it great but its similar in power to what you would expect out of it on glow. I would like just a touch more and the T-motor systems are absolutly awesome.

I've got my eye out for a GP 30cc trainer. There was one on ebay a while back, but it went for too much. I may have to scratch build one at some point. The .40 trainer I have is a GP trainer I believe. It was given to me as well. The Thunder Tiger 46pro I have on it runs like a top. I've gotten lots of free glow fuel from people who don't fly glow anymore. My favorite all time glow engine has to be the Super Tigre G51. Broke in properly, they just run forever.

Only two glow motors now. OS Gemini 120FT and a Saito 82. I keep meaning to sell them but nostalgia has me holding on. Same goes for some old balsa kits. I really miss flying a few glow birds: Mojo40 55AX, SuperCub OS71FS, Twinstar 2x40LA's, Strega .46AX. I think the 55AX will be my forever favorite, it looked nice, responsive, reliable.

I got mine from a club member for free since it was to be my daughters primary trainer. It's a great flying airframe.
