Ok @Snoopy1 and @stangflyer and anyone else, here is my experience painting the parts for my viper with Wings West RC paint. I didn't get the aerosol cans from them, just the bottles of 2k primer and paint. I did get the aerosol 2k clear from them. I used the accuspray gun from 3M to paint everything. I didn't have any problems at all which I am very happy about. This was my first time using this type of paint.

I sprayed the first coat of primer, and as usual there were some pin holes to take care of. I was really surprised at how few were on the cowl, but the wheel pants were a different story. There was a gob of them to take care of. Got all those filled, sanded down, and then sprayed another good coat of primer on. Another good sand job with 400 grit paper and it was ready for paint.

Now for the paint. One thing that needs to be done, is the paint needs to be shaken up REALLY good. Then masked off for the first color of white. Poured the paint in and started spraying. One thing to note is that if there is something not quite right with your surface after you have primed it, it will show up when you hit it with paint. There were a few spots that showed up on mine, but it is fine with me if it is not quite perfect (after all when it is 50' in the air you won't notice :D). I sprayed 2 coats on. Than it was just repeat masking and spraying for each color. The colors all matched really well. I am now ready to spray clear. So far I am very pleased with the results. This just about wraps up the Viper build:banana-dance: just a couple things yet to finish.
Great to hear from you. It looks great and thanks for the reply, maybe I made a mistake by buying the spray cans but time will tell. Need to pick up my paint when I get a chance to go down into the states. Glad to see everything went we'll, thanks for the report.

Not a whole lot accomplished tonight. Waiting to see how the patch on one side turned out tomorrow.

Lost an engine last fall and finally getting around to finishing up the gear block replacement. This is the Blue 330 LX. I currently have a Red 330 LX that will be my primary IMAC plane this year :)
It is always good to have a spare. You do not want to be caught half way through the summer with no plane. I always have at least 5 planes ready to go with in a day's work. There are years I have not lost one and then I have lost 3 with in a couple of months.

Now if that was easy to do as it is to say.

I once had 14 ready to go flyable planes. The maintenance and upkeep was time consuming to say the least. Ah but that was the good ole glow (shudder) days. In the deepest days of the gas switch out, I had 10 ready to rock and roll flying rides. And again I found the maintenance and upkeep even more time consuming than before. Now however I have three ready to go and flyable, one waiting for a 4 cylinder red head and upgraded servos, one waiting for a cowl refit, one nearly done minus cowl paint...yes ya'll know that one. And a brand new never even started or flown Pilot Edge in Washington I still need to pick up and install rx. and flight packs into. I still don't have enough hours in the day for everything that needs to be done. Maybe I just need to off everything and have one plus one back up. Umm, yeah....that'll happen when snow is falling in the underworld of Hades. Lol
