Got the throttle servo installed and centered. Got the plug cap reliefs done. Was a wee bit off on the right side but close enough. Muffler cut outs and cooling cut outs next in line. Will do some simple cooling ducts with the foam stuff. Ordered some more 1/8" and 1/4" u-trim and some ZAP 560 for the canopy. Trying to decide if the canopy gets a bunch of those small black (2mm) button hex cap screws or not. I decided not to do the optional "inspection" see through plates as IMO they weaken the fuse structure.

I repaired the damage done to my Mig 21 when the Chinese glue joint that was holding the right retract in failed. The flaps were down, so it cleaned the right one off on the way by. I also fixed that and touched up the missing paint.

Going to take a break while I wait for parts and materials to arrive. The bottom of the cowl has that "Shock and Awe" face from being tormented with a dremmel tool.

More drawing is happening in CAD. The little small edge profile I did a few years back needs updating and gone away from my hand drawn prints.

Now that the hard part is done it's pretty much shove some wires and screw down a lot of little screws. All the plumbing complete. I just so happened to have a black dual switch to coordinate with the black fuel dot. " And I don't know why???" .

I painted the white stripe between the wing and stab the other night on my Mig 21. Masking on foamies is a iffy adventure. You never know when it's going to pull the paint off all the way down to the foam. This time things went well.

I have a picture of this scheme weathered. If I feel ambitious it may happen.

Hey Doug,

How does that Mig fly? We had a visitor come to our field earlier this year with one of those but since he forgot and left his transmitter at home, I never got to see it fly.
