Damn I'm hungry
@HRRC Flyer Can't speak for Doug but I have found that a "flight controller" or 3 axis stabilization does wonders for EDF's and "squirrily" small foam planes like the QQ Extra and RockStar. My RS bipe is terrible in flight characteristic with the controller off but with it on it is amazing how it flies and lands. I definitely would not be flying it anymore if it were not for "stabilization" , So for that bad azz looking plane we got that does not fly worth a :steamer: there is hope :yesss:.

If you hurry you could stock up on a spare, or get a kit for a winter build, both dirt cheap right now through Weekender Warehouse ;)

Hey Doug,

How does that Mig fly? We had a visitor come to our field earlier this year with one of those but since he forgot and left his transmitter at home, I never got to see it fly.

Thanks Buddy
It flies good, like most of the Freewing Jets. We've had quite a few of them at the field, and they all seem to do pretty good. I can very highly recommend the Stinger 90. The F-14 was really cool, but didn't really hold up well to much flying.

Was putting the electronics / guts in this thing only to find the green led on the IBEC did not work :face-palm:. "And I don't know why???" :concern:.

Yep. You guessed it...Happen to have one :trance:. Burnt retna and all....
Was thinking of building a battery tray that would be able to be moved forward or aft about 3 inches over the fuel tank in front of the wing tube. Brings me to this Question....Does any one know where the typical set up of the batteries are on this bird (PAU 50/60cc Edge 540T)?
I have heard they go close to the front of the wing tube to get a good balance.

My pau sukhoi needs them up behind the engine to balance but I'm only running a dle55.

This bird has been sitting in the corner most of the summer with a broken motor mount. Basically I had a bad epoxy joint between the firewall and the big piece of tristock behind it. Old has been removed and new tristock is glued in. Also this time it has a couple of screws holding it everywhere it needs to be. Needed this bird ready for the fun fly at my club tomorrow. No time to paint it right now as I gots other things to get ready.

DLE 55 with a large pitts muff is about the same weight as the 60 twin with in cowl muffs.
I think the Sukhoi and Edge are similar. Does your Sukhoi balance on the wing tube? and do you remember the weight of your batteries?
The owner wants free access to the batteries for quick change and easy hook up to the balance connector. Seems dead weight might be needed to accomplish this. The cowl is not the most friendly to remove either. Have to pull the plug caps off in order to remove or install.
At least you can get to the needles fairly easy through the muffler cut out. I'm seriously thinking of getting one of these for the DL 50 I have. Should haul it quite well on a can.
