Does not most all of your "like" sized engines carry an industry standard of measurements?? i.e., DL, DLE, DLA, DA, RCG/F, EME, BE, etc, etc are all pretty much the same for mounting. Prop bolts too. I think they do this so that their engines are an easy target for swap out. "Marketability". I think 3w and ZDZ are about the only ones that don't keep with this standard. It's like they have to be special or something. Now that I can think and I can focus on the task at hand........
Was able to use the mounting plate of the DLE60 to modify the tool I had made for mounting the DL50. Turns out the cross hairs on this plane were pretty dead on. Just need to drill the holes for 1/4-20 bolts.

"Drop in replacement" ease has always been a great marketing tool. My "drop in" choices to replace the DL50 in the Extra 330 are DJ72, GP61, EME60 and RCGF60. Of course DJ72 wins out because of the "dollar to displacement ratio" along with the "Drop in replacement". In that regard it's a "Drop in displacement" .
