I do not know what it should weigh but but fly it first and then decide if it is heavy if does what you need and like it at the perfect weight. Looks good anyway.

OMG, I absolutely LOVE it. Now I "KNOW" I want one. As for weight? I think you're going to be just fine.

My foamy comes in at 27.6 ounces. And I am running 3s 2200mah packs. This could be the perfect solution to my problem.

Thanks guys! I have quite a bit of work to do on the cut files, but when I get them sorted out will share them. It is definitely a fun slow flier. Hopefully will get her maidened this weekend.

That is a bit heavy for a mojo25 but it will still fly fine. Drop back to something like a Hacker A2020 outrunner spinning a 10x6 GWS prop and a 1300mah 3S and it will wake up. That’s what’s on this little cap I built which is same basic size as the mojo25. It weighs a touch over 18 oz and is a freaking hoot in the air. I have a crap prop on it but it sill pulls it great.

You and me both, have been looking at them. And that one does look good. I just do not feel like cutting out part done that and do not want to do it any more if I could just buy a short kit with all the cut parts I would be interested but sitting there cutting parts for hours with an exacto blade is not what I want to do.
You know what you and should do is go for a visit to @BalsaDust and pick out some nice planes he is way to busy right now he will never know all he knows about and sees is that little girl of his.

What do you mean by cut files. Is that a set of drawings that somebody can cut all the necessary parts to build a plane. Or is it a cad file.

I used to build foam board planes that size out of 1/8th" blue construction insulation board and hot glue. Barely get them that light. Used the 2020 hacker knock offs from HK and 1000mah 3S. APC 11x 4.5 props. 9g servos and Castle 25 amp ESC. Would put fiberglass arrow shafts for LE reinforcement. Lot of fun. You using contest balsa to get it that light ?

Damn, that is light! Notice no LG on yours. I could strip that off and save 2 oz. No kidding a Hacker 2o2o at 18oz would rip! Have some more thinking to do on the next one. Looks like yours has a much thinner airfoil than the mojo also. Must fly quite a bit faster.

Both. I am starting with Autocad files that I am redrawing with changes I am making to have them laser cut. They could also be exported to a pdf file for hand cutting. I will first have a test run to ensure the cuts and fit are what I want. Then I will probably have several short kits cut to have on hand. Want to make one a night flier. I am with you, though, I don’t have the patience to cut by hand.

No I will not hand cut any more kits or parts by hand did that to-many times it’s difficult and very time consuming and today with lazes there is no way I am doing that. Now a question if it is in cad do you need compensate for the later width which I believe to be around o.oo5 inches. Now do you do all the off-sets on the cad drawing in the correct directions to get a good tight fit.
