This one was Windex with the solvent on the perimeter. If only somewhere or someone could tell us what adhesive they use on the Ultra we could figure out a solvent for it.

been thinking of doing the american flag on my next profile I build.

It was not nearly as difficult as I thought it was going to be. But without the Monokote that worked with Windex and the trim solvent method it may be more difficult.

Working on the Delta yesterday and today. Got the trailing edge done and on side of the wing leading edge. It is all clamped down and straight looking good so far. Also had to make some more sheeting for the wing tips always like to sheet the last bay adds a lot of stiffness to the wingtips and helps with preventing flutter.

The delta is coming along slowly got some more sheeting done and the wing tips done on one side. All the shear weds are in. Need to get the centre section sheeted and then lift it off and flip it over.

That's it in 27 hours, not very dedicated there are ya.. I sure hope Snoop does better!!

Nice steel blocks for weights. Where did you get them?

Step one I lined up the hinge lines between the old and new stabs and then taped them together. Seeing as the hinge line on this plane needs to be right at the back of the stab mount and the TE of the elevator almost brushed the rudder when it moves is why I did this.
Step two. Found the correct size drill bit and chucked it up in my drill press. Used a piece of scrap balsa under the elevator to keep the whole thing sitting level and then carefully ran the drill bit through the old stab holes and into the new stab.
Step three. Bolt it on to see how nice it looks.

I now need to make actual hard points in the stab as well as making a new control arm. That’s all for tonight.
Still whooped from helping put out a fire at work today.

Nice steel blocks for weights. Where did you get them?

I use to work for a big steel company so I was fortunate enough that when I needed them I ordered them from our machine shop.

Guys I do not know if I am giving to much details and pictures on the Delta build. My concern is that I am sure if there is a lot of interest in this type of plane please let me know.
One picture of the centre section this is a little difficult to get right most use two sheets and join in the center. But what I did is wet the bottom so that the sheeting with the amount weight used conforms to the dihedral angel and the curve of the ribs. Takes a little doing once it fits it looks clean and no seams down the centre and stronger.

I am SO ready to get back to working on something not made of metal Did the driver and passenger side ball joints on my Jeep, the passenger side lower was being a bear and not wanting to press in straight. That's one obstacle out of the way
