It’s my second one. I started on it about a month ago then got sidetracked with other projects. You can see the remains of my first one in the background. Awesome flying foamie.

Talking about Storch planes an older gentleman across town is building a Storch went to see it just before Christmas. I believe it came from Italy just absolutely gorgeous. It is big plane at 150 cc size I would say. The pity is he is really getting up there in age and he has not flown in the last 5 or 6 years but keeps building these extremely expensive planes completely with radio gear and engines and trust me he does cut back on cost only the best for his aeroplanes . The only thing is that they never see daylight they stay in the house never to be flown.

Got the engine running on the Cub (old style RCGF 26). Needed timing set, Carb cleaned out and a new fuel screen and gaskets for the carb.
Turns the 18x6 Xoar prop very well.

Had no doubts. The one I had ran like a clock. And quite the little screamer too. I had mine in a Dewoitine French Fighter. Damn I miss that plane.

Every thing under the hood good to go. Cut and fitted a new wind screen. Will install it ( last thing to do) after I get the all the cabin interior finished and painted .

This is really coming along quite nicely huh buddy? What a score you got there. I'm really excited for you. Can't wait to hear you're spending more time flying the Cub than you are the Alien Banana. It seems there are just some planes that get our blood going. Doesn't matter the form or style, they grab us and don't let go. My 260 has been that way for me. I hope the 330 proves to be just as good. Looking forward to your next installment of photos and info. Happy day bro.

Boy that is an interesting paint scheme on the plane don’t believe I have ever seen it before. Looks really interesting is one of your own or a copy of a actual plane that excised, sure does looks nice.

After some coaxing from the wife I decided to clear the shop of my desk, and associated items, and move them into one of the extra bedrooms of the house. I have actually been thinking about doing this for some time but been to bloody busy. So here is a before and after of that end of the shop. Really opened it up for building!
