Well got the three sleeves made took a little bit of work but once I figured out how much wax paper and the type of fiberglass to use it became relatively easy. The end result is smooth and will slide through a drilled hole easily.

I have been in and out sucking in all the wonderfully cool fresh air. Very windy but nice to be outside. Just the other day it was in the 80's and muggy .

if you want to get a nice, smooth finish on those tubes, and option is to use a rod dryer that rotates the tube at about 2-9rpm. You can buy the motor and make your own. Just something to think about. I build rods and I have done this to a wing tube before.

... and for the record I have been super busy building my Turbo Bushmaster... no time to dilly dally and just build build build build.... well and work, sleep, shoveling snow.... yuk. about to get 6-9 inches today and have already seen three :(

No difference over here just got 5 inches today. That Turbo Bushmaster looks like an interesting plane keep us informed. That is quite a big plane.
Thanks for the rod info will have to look into that.

Hi there this is the Aeroplus you were just building on GSN a little while back. Good to see it in the air and looks like you are pleased with it that’s great if may ask what was your final weight of the plane came in at. As you know I have the same plane flew it last season it was great but over the winter did a little rework on it made it a little lighter will see how it works out and see if the work was worth it.

This is the same one I had been putting together. The final weight was right at 7.5lbs. I am happy with it so far.

You have really kept it light at that weight it will be a fantastic flyer. You will really enjoy the plane. I can not weight for the weather to improve so that I can get mine in the air.

I was planning on doing a build this winter, but it didn't work out.
All my airplanes are ready to go so I haven't been working on anything.
