Valid point and I reckon I could see how it flys without the stabilization using one of my 6 channel frsky receivers and if I feel it needs it then I can get one of the frsky SR8 receivers that has 3 axis stabilization built in and only cost $33 bucks.

That's an option too. I know you like the Frsky stuff. Almost went tat direction myself with the HORUS. Get some Maiden vid for us :).

Just one quick cell phone video of my buddy making some passes after I maidened it. It’s fun. I need new batts though. Power was kind of lacking on 4S then when I switched over to 3S still using the 4S prop the power was almost the same as 4S but my 4S packs are probably 4 years old and haven’t been used in at least a year. Before I order more though I’m gonna try the proper 3S prop and see what I think. If I like it I will just go that route as I don’t want to buy more 4S packs that will only be used on this plane.

Tonight was all about fun with the Aura and Flex Cessna 170. I installed their Extreme profile which provides 3 Flight Modes with Crow and full span ailerons in addition to the normal ailerons and flaps. Took a bit of configuration to make it all work correctly, but I’m very pleased. Can wait to fly this thing!

In the past I have ordered directly from Blue Bird via e-mail / PayPal. They have a new "Mini Servo" The Coreless A920 wide voltage.
Visit their website and give em a look and ask for a quote. They will be less expensive than what you see on ebay or elsewhere. Tail Dragger RC is the only US based sales agent that I know ofhttps://www.blue-bird-model.com/products_detail/51.htm

Well, I think TaildraggerRC does not stock blue birds anymore, just the XPERT servos these days.
I asked for a quote A921/A920's from blue bird directly. Took about a week from my RFQ. They said they are the same price $41.99USD each, shipping not included. She said I could buy from their US distributer FlightComp.com (which has them for $45.99USD each). So a little bit cheaper going direct, but that's a long wait for little reward. Ironically FlightComp is the one selling them on ebay as well, but for $48.99 each with free shipping. Anyways just thought I'd share my research.

Thanks. They do have some decent servos but as you said their prices are a bit inflated now. And like any other China / Taiwan servo the R and D and final testing always seems to be behind the power curve on the new "mega" servos. I have had great success with their BLS 2209's and 3114's (paid less than 50$ ea. when I got them 6 years ago). And the "All Metal" versions BLS 42A, BLS 36A, BLS 22A are very popular and have a bit better gear train wear because their all aluminum cased. The BLS H50B and coreless BMS H50C have a great all steel gear train but the driver boards for the motors are not efficient and had a slew of issues as @Terryscustom said. Maybe they got it worked out with the new BLS H51B. Maybe Terry will order one of those and test it for us. Personally...I will never have the need for a "mega" servo that fits a standard servo cut out. The biggest thing I am going to fly when I get it done is a 92" Edge. And I will probably run all spektrum A6300's on flight surfaces.

This should be fun to try out but not sure when. At work they where going to throw out a nice magnetic sign. On the other side is work stuff but this side is nice and clean. Might I also mention it’s dead flat and 3’x4’ so it will be perfect on smaller builds to try out building with magnets.

Got my "SunnySky" motor all mounted up to the "Not your mothers QQ300" :D.

Just need to find me 12x6 prop and 54mm electric spinner. The 2.25" aluminum spinner shown is too big and heavy. A 4S 3000mah pack will do the power up of this HV hybrid. Will need to make some adjustments to the Aura 8 so it handle's the boost in performance smoothly. Flying weight has gone from 3.2 to 3.8 pounds with all the mods and bigger battery. Hope to have performance similar to the QQ CAP 232EX.
