Ok because of Covid19 we have all been told to stay at home for 14 days. Starting to get bored and looking for something to do all my stuff is built and almost ready to go.
So cleaning up in the work shop found a old kit that I had purchased in 1993 from from Ohio RC in Germantown in Ohio. Some of you my remember the company it was one of the first to bring out larger scale planes. Well I found one of there kits tucked away. Opened it and everything still there except the manual but did still have the drawings in the box. Great that is all I need. This is a real builders kit box of balsa and go build. First thing that will be changed is the wing from one piece to two halves. The fuselage does not one flat surface on it.
All fine and dandy,,,
but,,,,,
what is it?

Ok been looking at the drawings and been thinking what to do and how to build the plane. One thing is for sure is it will be a two piece wing with a wing tube. Need to buy a 7/8 diameter wing tube and sleeve. This will be major change to accommodate the wings and tube.
The following are some of my thoughts.
1. Do I install a 35cc gas engine or go electric.
2. Will not change the shape or the control surfaces it will not be a 3D plane just a nice true scale plane.
3. Plastic or do I paint plane.
4. Tint the canopy or go with a pilot figure.
5. The tail is built up but not aero foiled, not sure what to do.

Do you gentlemen have suggestions and recommendations.

1. go gas unless you like big electrics. I personally don't want an electric that big.
2. sounds like a good plan
3. personally say film covering
4. pilot figure
5. just build the tail the way it is.

I concur!!! Only thing I'd want to attempt differently may be air foiling the tail for fun. But not necessary.
