Checked the fit of an electric motor inside a Williams Bros. dummy radial engine this afternoon between all the Christmas festivities.
Unfortunately, not enough clearance between the crankcase flange and the spinner backplate while providing the motor with enough clearance to rotate.
Either an adapter with a thicker prop flange or a little massaging on the crankcase should do the trick.

A buddy of mine flew my crack beaver and loved it even though he isn’t a 3D pilot. He ordered one for himself and brought it to me a week ago. Got it finished up today and even flew it once before passing it off to him during my lunch break tomorrow.

That would be tricky to get to fit in the cowl and perfectly match the motor... darn. You could probably make a thick G10 shim under the prop hub... pretty true/flat and could give you and extra 1/8"

So a buddy of mine built a 60” lazybee as an electric conversion. He loves it but thought it looked. Weird with the electric motor so he asked me to design a 3D printable motor to fit around his outrunner but look like an old COX .049. I think it turned out pretty good.

I have one of these motors great motor but it needs a lot of cooling. Do not believe the motor will have sufficient cooling.
