What I might do is reinforce them on the inside then they will be sturdy enough for me to apply a thin layer of 3/4 oz glass clith to the exterior without it flexing to much. What are your thoughts on this proceedure.

I just tried z-poxy for the first time last week on a cowl repair. Boy that stuff is nice to work with!

I've never fiberglassed a plane before. So I can't give you any opinions on the plastic molded pieces.

I did a little more work on the wheel wells fitting the wheels in. and also decided which setup to use for the tailwheel retract. I decided to go with an electric retract that is sold by Hobby King mainly because it is more compact and is better quality than the Robart air unit. I really havent been impressed by Robart and think their products are pure junk and not worth the price. I can also tie in a servo to operate the tailwheel and rudder together and one to operate the gear door.20141114_141747_resized.jpg20141114_141734_resized.jpg20141114_141728_resized.jpg

worked a little more and finished forming in the wheel wells and filling. All that is left is to sand the filler.20141123_180015_resized.jpg20141123_180008_resized.jpg

Check the plane and this little guy has taken up pilot training and his wife was keeping house in a pile of sandpaper in the work table.20141126_120620_resized.jpg
