They look like off road tyres, hope that they will not be to noisy.
It was not the postman but I did score me one of these today.
A fellow modeler that lives near by asked if I knew where he could get a few of the missing parts such as the cabane, struts, landing gear. I told him where he could get the gear and that he could trace my GP Pitts parts as they were the same. He came by today to trace the parts but turns out he preferred letting it go over trying to make the parts. So I took it off his hands and sat it in the corner for when the day comes that I want to work on models again. I have owned many Pitts over the years but somehow I have never managed to own a Christen Eagle. Until now that is.
Don’t you hate it when...
I’m almost out of the local hobby shop with my loot when I’m walking down an aisle one more time. Out of the corner of my eye I see this model. Knowing what the price typically is, I can’t believe the marked down, close-out price. Of course I don’t need another one, but I just can’t help myself!
You may remember this model, but if not, it was designed by my good friends Mirco Pecorari and David Payne. So one more reason I couldn’t simply walk by and not buy it!
Nice score!
