Thanks!
These are from Flex Innovations. Replacements for their Cessna 170 at 6” diameter.
Had their 170 once upon a time and thought the wheels were much softer. These don’t have much give to them, but Draco has shocks!!

Gotcha, They look like rubber rubberized foam core. Seems like what a lot of companies are doing these days. The Kavans are nice, but still pretty hard - more give than the foam core versions though.

Postman brought a few goodies to the local hobby shop for me yesterday. If you’re in the Nashville area, visit Family Hobbies. Great people!

The wheel and tire combo I previously purchased for Draco were too wide to fit without new axles. So I bought 6” Dubro fat tires. Wheels are narrower and should work. Definitely heavier than stock but this thing has a ton of power on 6s, so no worries. Will know more about the fit later today.

Really enjoying the power combo in Draco so I bought the same motor and speed controller for my Christen Eagle. It’s still under construction but making progress.

Used my Eflite Commander as a test bed for the combo this morning, just to play with the SMART telemetry. Really cool!

No go on Dubro’s. Wheels fit the axles, but tires rub the shocks. So I’ll live with the stock wheels and tires for now.

Wonder what the Python would look like with Bush wheels?? LOL!

Great customer service story follows, courtesy of the good folks at Horizon and Tru-Turn (aka Romco Manufacturing).

Not giant scale, but I thought this might interest those of you who have unique requirements.

The story starts with my idea to install the power system from Draco in my under construction Christen Eagle - see post above. Items listed below:
The stock spinner was too small for the cowling, so I asked if Romco would custom cut one of their 2.75” Ultimate spinners to fit the 4 bladed propeller, having no clue what blade profile was used.
The answer was Yes! I immediately ordered a propeller and motor adapter from Horizon and drop shipped them to Romco.
Only a week after the Horizon shipment arrived in Texas, the Romco shipment arrived at my house today. The brown box contained the Tru-Turn spinner, lightened backplate, two bushings, two bolts and the Horizon parts.

Just like a kid at Christmas, I couldn’t wait to test fit the combo to the Eagle cowling!

That’s beautiful. Mikey like. :big_yes:

Now go order several extra props before they are discontinued. :way_to_go:

You and me both!! I wanted a 3Blade Prop for my DHC-2 and a DLE20 with a 2.25" Spinner. After figuring out their file was bad, I sent them my prop (15x7x3) and they custom cut and sent back. Wendy was a pleasure to communicate with at Tru-Turn/ROMCO
