@AKNick who did you get your MPX connectors from or does anyone else have good supplier.

I got mine a while back from tail dragger RC. They don’t sell just the connectors anymore. You can buy them pre made from several people these days, just not the specific. Length you need.
The connectors come in red, Black, and more commonly found as green. I don’t think there is a difference. Just do an internet search for MPX connectors and you should get lots of sources.

Why would you replace the aluminum pin with a wood pin. The aluminum is better and stronger. Or am I missing something. Good info on the plane thanks for that will take a look at the plane or at least make some notes so I don’t forget.

Aluminum isn’t the best glue adhesion. So the glue bond will fail before the component, which makes it a poor choice when glued to wood in my opinion. If we were installing them, we’d rough up the surface, make it jagged, and course to give something for the glue to bond to... judging how sloppy the cuts were done, I don’t think that was ever a consideration.

Weather was not good again so did a little work in the shop. Made a start on the new E-Power motor box. And did a little reinforcement as AKNick has made us aware of some of the weaknesses in the plane.
Added the same block as AKNick and another triangle at base of the window.

I’ve been adding tristock as well. Also more CA and epoxy!

Tri-stock just forward of the wing bolt.

My finger is pointing to a defect. Added tri-stock behind it.

Just another fuse shot of my progress. You can see how I laid the receiver tray in the back. Put it at an angle, I liked how it provided good access and visibility.

Did some much needed servo setup. Got everything done, except the elevator servos. Then I’ll be into programming. I’ve said this before, the promodeler double servo arm looks cool, but that’s it. The Allen screws stripped with two fingers on the wrench. So I drilled them oversize to a 4-40. Not much material left... might be a temporary fix until I get another offset arm.

Even got my throttle servo linkage completed!

Been waiting on my pulse lipos... just checked the tracking and they got sent back due to an address issue.... guessing it’s hazmat issue or something.

Got my wings all set up. Some fine tuning but tricky to have flaps, crow, full span ailerons, and dual rates setup on my Futaba. Conditions are annoying to me and try to avoid them.

Been working on the interior the last couple days. Relocated my booms pin flag switch for easier wire routing. All I have left on the inside is my tech aero, set my antenna orientation, battery’s (were shipped and returned to sender by usps... darn, hope they reship with no issues), and lastly the elevator set up.

Okay is my tech aero too close to my pin flag switch if I put it here? My ignition module is basically under my fuel tank.

@AKNick have read that the hard points in the wing are not glued in properly for the struts. Looked at my wing and there is nothing to see or get to. Just a screw hole in the wing and that is all. Have done anything about it.

Honestly I'm scared to even bolt up the wing struts and find out. I have not fitted them yet! There is a squared hole above the wing strut attach point, and you'll have to removed the covering to get to it.
