Fort Smith Arkansas Fly Low In Sept. 19-22

Unfortunately things have changed and I won't be able to make it. I have a funeral to attend Saturday now. I was really looking forward to getting out of this town and spending the weekend with some of my greatest friends. One more kick to the nuts this year and I just may have a full blown come...

Fort Smith Arkansas Fly Low In Sept. 19-22

I have no problem maidening at an event. I just don't like not being able to fly the snot out of it with a brand new engine. It hasn't had a drop of gas since it left DA.

Fort Smith Arkansas Fly Low In Sept. 19-22

There was no rebuilding. It trashed a little of everything. Fuse was toast from firewall to turtledeck and more around the fin, one wing had several cracked ribs, one stab trashed, fin/rudder trashed and shoved into the fuse, cowling trashed, canopy trashed, bunch of stripped servo gears, etc. I...

I don't have one anymore thanks to a broken clunk line this time last year.

That was pretty cool. If you want total devastation, buy the Crosshair Artillery shells. HUGE explosion!

They won't go anywhere. Without sticking the shell into the tube there's no compression to propell it. You just get a big puff of smoke, but the report is full bang. I have a few shells I saved for future use. There's no fancy, colorful break in the air. Just the report of what seems to be a...

    Drill Baby, Drill!

One of the biggest problems I see guys run into when trying to drill through steels is like mentioned, too much rpm. Too much rpm not only will ruin your drill, but as it quickly dulls the point, it work hardens the material to the point where you'll need a carbide drill to finish the job. Once...

It takes balls to do that intentionally. My vote is for "Lucky". Lucky he flew out of that. I remember the day it happened. That's a perfect example of an accelerated stall.

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

This is just dumb. Dumb that you'd have to ask if anyone is interested. lol! Hell yeah we're interested! Sounds pretty cool. It's been talked about here and there but nothing ever came from it. I'd love to see something like this come to light.

    Christmas!

Twas The Night Before Christmas Twas the night before Christmas, and out on the ramp, Not an airplane was stirring, not even a Champ. The aircraft were fastened to tie downs with care, In hopes that — come morning — they all would be there. The fuel trucks were nestled, all snug in their...

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

I left a six foot gator (dead) beside my dad's parking spot for him to find back when I was a teen. He always got home after dark and had a gravel spot to park his truck next to the driveway. I can still remember the "AAAAAAAAAH!" followed by a river of curse words. lol. He still hasn't...

What motor would you use in a 50cc size?

I'll echo the DA-60. It's a sick powerplant on the 89". And when I say sick, I mean it's a friggin awesome match made in heaven. Throw a Falcon Carbon 23 x 10 on stock mufflers and let it eat.
