    DLE-30 Dies When Inverted

I was using a blue metal arm and a ball link on the servo end and a DuBro HD 4-40 snap link on the carb. I intend on using ball links on both ends when I install the new servo.

    DLE-30 Dies When Inverted

Well, I'm not sure but I believe the problem has been solved. It idled great and top end was fine (7300 rpm with a 19x8 Zoar) but the mid range was acting goofy. At about 30% throttle it would surge and run inconsistently no matter what needle settings I tried - both on the ground and in the...

Does anyone have details on the electric delta wings they were flying in the video? I need something that fast to terrorize my fellow flyers.

    DLE-30 Dies When Inverted

I believe you may be right....I spent a considerable amount of time at the field last week with the DLE 30 trying to get it to fly inverted without cutting out or acting up - no luck. I bought the motor used so have no idea how old it is, I've owned it for 2 years and only recently have had...

    DLE-30 Dies When Inverted

I'm having trouble with my DLE 30 and 35 but believe the issue is with the way I have them tuned. Both run great, fine idle good mid-range with just a bit of burble. I can run them inverted IF I keep the throttle at 3/4 or higher. I run into problems when I try lower throttle settings on BOTH...

AJ Laser 230z 73" Build Thread

+1 I like your idea of keeping the motor in a bag while cutting the cowl, very smart. I too had separate cutouts for the exhaust tubes when I initially build mine. My motor was overheating (Florida in the summer, go figure!) so I ended up creating one large opening to improve cooling.

30 cc plane: Tomcat G160 motor - anyone have one?

I've got about 8 flights on the motor and I like it a lot. I went with a 10s set up with a 20x10 APC prop. Pulls 70A @ 2300 + watts for 7 mns of flight time. I have 3300 60c and 5000 mAh batteries - 4000 would be the sweet spot. My only gripe is the throttle response, its super slow - so slow...

30 cc plane: Tomcat G160 motor - anyone have one?

Thanks for the reply, I've decided to take a chance on this motor - for $80.00 how bad can it be?!! It looks like the line is carried by more than a few vendors, Redwing and Grayson Hobby for two so the motor must be somewhat decent....

30 cc plane: Tomcat G160 motor - anyone have one?

I'm looking for a cheap motor for an old 30 cc airframe (the one in my current avatar) and came across this motor: http://www.redwingrc.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_67&products_id=552 Does anyone have any experience with this motor or have ideas for a cheap alternatives? I...

SupaTim builds a 73" AJ Laser!!

I must fly slow or something...I'm running an 12 oz fuel tank and have my timer set to 15 mns; I land with a 1/4 tank or more :) This plane ROCKS.

    3DHS Extra 330 or Redwing Extra 330

I too have the 73" AJ Laser and couldn't be happier with it. It's so good that I'm no longer happy with my Goldwing Yak 55! I just bought the 3DHS Extra 330lt, if it Harriers as well as my Laser I will be a happy man indeed. Thanks for the reply.
