Looking great! How do finish the front of the cowl, the flat part? Do you cut this part out or do you cut just enough for the heads to get cooling?

thank you!!
Ok, that will come later, however, i will be making baffles, the opening will be somewhere around this size in this picture, and it will have a shroud to help divert the air down over a baffle plate.

Once the motor arrives, I will then mount the canisters, then I will work on the cowl.

Stay tuned!!

Started working on the stabs, and coring out the tips, and making the servo lead tunnels. everything was measured and remeasured, based off the plans. The servo lead tunnels will be behind the stab tube.

Getting ready to glue in the stab tube phenolics.
The phenolics are capped with balsa. Then the tube is glued in with poly-urethane glue.
Be sure to keep an eye on this, so that it does not push out while the glue expands.

getting ready to glue in the hard-points for the stab bracket.
As an aside, you can see how the poly U glue expanded from the phenolic tunnel and went thru the foam all the way!
Will have to sand this smooth again.
