Getting closer. Tomorrow I'll probably be ready to go over it with some epoxy resin thinned with alcohol to bond all the drywall compound together. Then I can do it again with some fiberglass. Few layers of filler to fill the weave and I should be ready for first coat of primer.

Sleepy, I've been doing some research and I'm strongly considering doing one in the 120cc size.      I found this modified cowl that looks very attractive and perhaps a more modern.      Thinking more streamlined canopy without the shapely point on top.......wait one second.....is that what you like about the CAP so much???!?!?!

Yes Terry that is what we love so much about the CAP, though that one looks pretty good as well. Looks like the sides of the cowl just all buldge out instead of the way a regular Cap is where just the top portion buldges.

Sleepy..Keep fallowing Fibertech and I think you will see a lot of interesting kit planes developed in the near future. Between myself, Terry and Kevin we have a lot of cool stuff in the makings.

Oh man, A 120cc cap would be awesome! I had more fun with my old wild hare cap than probably any other plane I have owned.

Tweak this design a bit and you are all set. I'd buy one for sure.

Resin set enough this afternoon to knock it down a bit with some sandpaper and apply some glazing filler to fill the gaps and overlaps of the glass. Will sand and then fill / sand / fill / sand some more tomorrow.
