    Yippee! What the postman brought

Postman brought me a shiny new toy from EF. Their new 67" Laser in the receiver ready version. Factory installed T-motor AM670 outrunner with matching AM116A ESC. The carbon fiber prop is a freaking work of art. The Theta 989 servos are extremely fast and very quite. Looking forward to the...

Ain't even got to be boys. My 6 year old daughter has about a dozen nice lego sets at this point. Though she is different from me at that age. I would build the kit and play with it then tear it apart and do my own things with it. She is very vigilent about keeping the set all together.

Picked up a project yesterday. Not sure when I will get to it. Nitro gear and old radio are going away. Would like to go gas on it but may go electric.

It was in the mid 20's with 15-20 mph winds all day the day I cooked it. My smoker is just an electric deal so I had to wrapped up with a couple cheap moving blankets from harbor frieght to keep it from having to work to hard to maintain temp.

rough but fairly accurate wing area pulling measurements from my fusion model and doing the math myself is 2067 sq in. Yes tail parts are sheeted foam. They are designed to be built up but the friend that laser cut the kit for me didn't have any 3/8" balsa at the time to cut so I went the route...

    Mini lathe (and mill) discussion.

Forget the keystrokes and pick up a space mouse. If you plan to use a 3D modoling software they are worth it. We use the 3Dconnexion brand at work and they are awesome. I'm sure there might be some cheaper options out there as well.

I can't speak highly enough about Fusion 360 for a 3D modeling software. There is a free version for personal use. I think it has some features removed but should have everything you would ever need for making parts for RC airplanes.

Yeah I need to finish it up as I would love to be able to share the project with anyone that would like to build it. Just been preoccupied with other stuff.
