    Savox for EF 104 Extra

I just "built" one. Since I had 4 Futaba BLS-157's, I used those on the ailerons, but used a single Savox 2231 on the rudder (push-pull) and a pair of 2270's on the elevators. On my servo torque tester (2S Lipo powered), the -157's pulled ~31 pounds (with a 1 inch arm, that equals ~495 oz-in)...

    3D EF 104 electrical

The BEC pro is programmable to any voltage you want and is good for 20 amps. It weighs one oz and was less than $40.

    3D EF 104 electrical

The 3S setup into the Castle BEC pros is not my idea, credit Andrew Jesky for the setup.

Honestly I think Cody Wojcik came up with this idea.

    3D EF 104 electrical

None. I first used this setup on the 91 and it has been totally trouble free.

    3D EF 104 electrical

No the 2 output leads are combined into one Deans. One Deans in, one out. It is not my idea, the Castle guy at the WRAM show suggested it. It works great!

    3D EF 104 electrical

They are 3S, 1600's, regulated to 8.5V by a pair of castle BEC Pro's.

    3D EF 104 electrical

And here is where I located the BEC's, just under the 3s Lipos. [url=http://s67.photobucket.com/user/gshoffman/media/RC%20planes/32199E18-1358-4840-8481-939A34931F21_zpsgvexy7sh.jpg.html]

    3D EF 104 electrical

I revised the rudder linkage. The M3 flat hex head screws and nuts that come with Savox big servos work great on the links. [url=http://s67.photobucket.com/user/gshoffman/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-09/F13C2BC6-BAA4-419C-826F-37D6324A18E2_zpsploreqne.jpg.html]

    3D EF 104 electrical

With the snakeskin, I use a dab of Welders to tack the harness down in the corners up and out of the way.. If a repair or servo replacement is necessary, you just pull it up. A small dab of it is good enough that is never pulls up in flight but is still flexible. The ignition is mounted under...

    3D EF 104 electrical

I like to make the electrical setup as neat and tidy as possible. [url=http://s67.photobucket.com/user/gshoffman/media/RC%20planes/2A572C40-8CCF-45B2-A6F6-509CCC29A953_zpspox4nwza.jpg.html] I made some 3D printed things like wire harness loops and a combination Rx and IBEC mount as well...

    Extreme Flight 104 Extra

They are 2 inch arms. I'll probably go with 1270's but I have to say the 2270's on my 91 have been perfect. I will definitely run 3S lipo's with the Castle BEC Pros regulated to 8.5V on my 104. The BLS-157's and Savox 2270's have been flawless at 8.5V and it is so consistent. It was not my...
