    Update on the CF sleeve....since the CA joint is so thin (not much bonding area along an edge like that) I went ahead and gave it one wrap of lightweight glass cloth. Once that cures I will sand the openings in the fuse to accept it and Hysol into place.

    Wing tube sleeve done and ready to epoxy in place and trim. I had a section of the CF sleeve from my old 35% Extra. Made a straight cut lengthwise using the diamond cutoff wheel in the Dremel. Wrapped it around the correct diameter (smaller) wing tube, marked the excess overlap and cut that...

    The fuse is now ONE PIECE.....AGAIN!!!!!!!!:fist_pump: Made up supports for, and glued in the pull/pull rudder servo tray. Found some photos of the old one to see where things were located. (Never throw things away :cheers:) Once the epoxy cures I will get on with the remaining infrastructure...

    Last alignment checks before making it a whole fuselage again! Looks good to my eye :pirate:. I can adjust the wing tube socket slightly when I fit up the sleeve....but looks to be spot on right now. This evening I'll mate the two structures.

    Double/triple checking alignment prior to gluing. Get this wrong and I'll just burn the damned thing:very_angry: Last night I glued the sides onto the motorbox structure (Hysol 9462). All cured.....No turning back now!

    When I was stripping the Aerobeez I discovered the cause of the deadstick. Lesson learned.....REPLACE ALL old tubing when redoing a plane with old equipment!!!!! The pulse line was the ONLY one I didn't do....:lol2:

    A couple of years ago I bought the motorbox repair kit from 3SHD. Here it is snapped together (minus a few pieces) sitting in front of the better of the 2 fuselages I have. This kit will make the resurrection WAY easier than having to scratch all that together!!!
