I got them at a swap meet. Don't know who makes it. They work great for the pickup connection. IK just glue them down. I've had them both. I liked the older stile a lot. I sold it 2 years ago and regretted it. This new version seems to fly better at precision. Althoe I won a lot of IMAC...

I kicked it in gear and finished the Extra except I don't have the canopy glued on. Mounted the Booma Switch. This is a pin switchthat is connected to an inline bat-share. Been using it all summer and it works great. The top light is the power indicator from the batteries. The bottom light is...

Dual BuildNew PAU 35cc Edge and 35cc Extra

Now we are to the part that I like doing. Assembly. :) I like these new PAU tanks. They have a larger opening for the cap. I found my offset box end half inch wrench fits inside nicely. I turned the nipples the way I wanted and tightened them back up. pre assembled the tank and checked for fit...

I have the Canopies ready for the Gages. B& E Graphics is going to make them up. I may have them by next weekend. The Glue I used is a contact cement. BSI Foam Cure. I got it at Hobby Lobby. It works great with all the foams I tried it on. I tested the foam that I cut off the pilot to see if it...

Cut some paper templates from poster board. then traced them onto some 1/8 thick Depron. WARNING If you use Depron for a floor in your plane. Make sure you use Foam Safe Glue. Mocked up the canopy. Put the 10 screws in at this time. This makes the location of the canopy glass repeatable...

I used some Carbon impregnated Nirod. They don't sell it anymore. Found this at a Swap Meet. I just put the casing around it to give it some stiffness. Because it's so short it works.. You can do the same with the yellow and Blue Nirod.

Dual BuildNew PAU 35cc Edge and 35cc Extra

Today was one of those days. I used my ball driver for #2 screws this morning and laid it down somewhere and I still have not found it. I managed to make it all the way through the whole day... Finished the wing extensions and set the servos for max throw. Mounted and set the throttle servo...

Dual BuildNew PAU 35cc Edge and 35cc Extra

Started working on mounting the Throttle Servo. I don't like mounting the servo in the engine compartment so I made up a bracket that I can use to glue it up to the inside of the motor box. Finished drilling the fire wall for the fuel line throttle linkage and the vent hole for the carb. Pinned...

Dual BuildNew PAU 35cc Edge and 35cc Extra

Finished the Extensions for the Flying Surfs on the Edge. Hooked everything up and set the max throws. I make these little bridge wire keepers so the extensions don't fall back into the wing. Nothing fancy. loose enough to be able to get the wire out without breaking the bridge back out but...

Dual BuildNew PAU 35cc Edge and 35cc Extra

Made up some Elevator Extensions from Taildragger wires and ends. They came out to 20 inches each. This depends on where you mount your Servos. That should be a good ballpark figure. made up the pull pull cables same as on the Edge. Mounted the pushrods. I think I got lucky here. I believe they...

I don't feel the need for high voltage. 6 V has plenty of power for me. Everyone wants the latest and greatest. Me I like the old proven stuff. :) This is the setup from my AJ Laser. I know it works and works well. Except for the elevator.
