    150-200cc Extra 300SP

Also my thought on that was the clevis would not move at all and the ball would in relation to the servo turn buckle travel. Or maybe I need to put on my man pants and spend the $70.00 on dubro hardware.

    150-200cc Extra 300SP

I was planning on using red loctite on the clevis. Should be stiff like the full dubro set up.

    150-200cc Extra 300SP

Came up with a cheaper solution to spending $70 on new hardware.

One thing I forgot to mention is it looks like Herve adds some stainless steel control horn clevis bolts to the kit. I see standard metal bolts and what appears to be stainless. Stainless is a very good way to go.

    150-200cc Extra 300SP

I'm curious on how the wing feels. I know the Carden pro and Mel Dalton have thin air foils but not sure how they compare to this one. But if it flys good that's all that matters.

Terry, What did you use for your baffleing. Looks like a carbon fiber. Something like that would look awesome on this plane.

What's your address. In fact I will trade all of them for your Dalton:yesss:

I am also replacing the supplied clevis's with dubro pieces. The supplied ones look cool but there is a lot of slop in the joint in several of them. So I will replace them all.

    150-200cc Extra 300SP

One thing I will say is make sure everything is gone over with an iron or heat gun. The covering is just barely on. The low tac painters tape will easily pull off the graphics or covering.

Today I figured I would get the hinging done. I started with using epoxy but it was a pain so I went back to using Gorilla glue. I like using that stuff. I also sealed the hinges.

    150-200cc Extra 300SP

Since I would like this plane as an IMAC plane I wanted to compare it to my H9 3.1M Sukhoi which is an awesome ARF IMAC machine. I wanted an Extra aND the PAU looks to fit the bill. Some observations, the fuse is huge. Reminds me of the Carden 126 300. That motor box is screaming 4 banger. If I...

    150-200cc Extra 300SP

Yesterday at work I had to leave because one of the ambulances was having some issues. When I got back I seen a lovely surprise waiting for me. 2 large box's with my name on it with PAU's shipper name. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaa. I first unboxed the wings. Everything looked good. But that was...

Batteries: Which Lithium Chemistry and How Are You Charging?

Attached is the Note in the first page Note: This receiver battery is designed for 1C charge rate and a 6C discharge rate - do NOT exceed greater than 1C during the charging of this LiPo battery. Any charge rate greater than 1C / discharge rate greater than 6C will immediately void the warranty...

Batteries: Which Lithium Chemistry and How Are You Charging?

I still have my Pulse 5000 MAH batteries and still us them. The Thunder power was an experiment with a 25C rated battery. I have not noticed the same phenomenon with the TP batteries yet. The voltage drop is also less.

Batteries: Which Lithium Chemistry and How Are You Charging?

That is the link I provided. The 6C receiver pack may be for battery charger discharge only but on the first few flights on a fresh charge I could tell a slight difference in snaps only. Once the initial peak voltage wore off it was even throughout the flight. In fact the lowest recorded voltage...

Batteries: Which Lithium Chemistry and How Are You Charging?

FYI the pulse reciever packs are rated for 6 Chttp://www.pulsebattery.com/batteries/pulse-ultra/plurx-25502-pulse-lipo-2550mah-7-4v-rx-ultra-power-series.html according to the note. On my 3.1M H9 Sukhoi running a JR power bus reciever I would record up to a 1.5v drop in volage during a snap...

Batteries: Which Lithium Chemistry and How Are You Charging?

I have a set of Fromeco A123 packs in my 35%H9 300 and using the new Thunder Power Lipo's with the JXT connectors in both my 40% IMAC birds. I have used Pulse and still using them but after noticing a drop in voltage during snaps I felt that the low C rating of the Pulse may be a factor. So im...

    Powerbox or Powersafe receiver

Until this year I used fromeco 5200LiIon and 5000 Pulse Lipos and I could tell only a slight difference in snaps when the batteries had a few flights on them. But that was the only difference I could tell. But it was pretty minor.

    Powerbox or Powersafe receiver

By going with the power bus style reciever you just simplified your system. Less connection points and a very simple straight forward setup. I think if you were ask any JR or Spektrum users they would all say the same. Easy, straight forward and reliable. I'm sure the power box is a great unit...
