    60" Laser-EXP

Count me in fellas!! LOL.... nah, the drives a bit far. On a side note, got my 2nd 60" extra really dialled in the other day. Just lovin it, hopefully not to its early death like my 1st airframe. Wish the 60" Laser was coming down under sometime soon but probably won't be until late second...

EF Yaks are coming...who wants one?

    78'' Extra

I honestly thought they are both DA60's. Not sure if one header is the MTW and/or something else?

    78'' Extra

Sweet, thanks for the info. I wondered about that stuff. I saw on Daniels extra that his header was one continuous piece of stainless tube with no join, is that a different header? http://www.GiantScaleNews.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1889783&postcount=1019 See pic #7, looks like one piece of...

    78'' Extra

I gotta ask a question about the photos of the da60 and header on the 91" extra below. Whats the red stuff wrapped around the header for. I've seen a lot of guys wrap something around the headers in that area, is it to protect the throttle servo from the heat off the header?

    78'' Extra

That's a great plan Joe. Just gotta keep the airframe alive long enough to get the DA35. I wonder what size pipe is needed for a da35? Surely not the RE2 that goes on the DA60?

    78'' Extra

Sweet Joe, gotta ask, what did you do to the planes belly? Are you getting ready for a tuned pipe or something? Daniel makes that bird sing.

    78'' Extra

Hey Joe, flying with Daniel must have been a real hoot. Learn any new tricks?

    64" mxs exp

Tis but a scratch young 3D flyer. Couple of drops of CA and some covering and she be good as new!! On a serious side, sorry to hear this Joe, but as you say, she got a good flogging over the 650 flights you put on her and she is probably happy to be going to that sacred resting place of...

    78'' Extra

Thats the way, bung on an eme55 pop on a 22x10 prop and let her rip!!!!! One of the guys at my club has that setup on an 85" katana and gets about 6600rpm peak and about 1800rpm idle, drop muffle and no pipe.

    60" Extra 300 EXP

They pump out great airframes mate. EF and 3dhs airframes rule as far as I'm concerned. I'd have more 3dhs stuff if they had a local agent, but they don't so that's that. Wait till you fly the 70" extra, smoother then the 60", can fly even slower then the 60" and tracks as nice or...

    78'' Extra

Sweet flying Joe. You were really hammering that airframe and motor, nice. Takes some getting used to when listening to gas planes hammering around compared to electric. Seems really loud by comparison.

    60" Extra 300 EXP

that tail is a work of art. I'd be too afraid to fly it. Better send it down here for me to mind for you!!

    60" Extra 300 EXP

Tim, check which version you have. There's a version with white covering over the firewall/first former then another version without this covering material. I've had both, the one with the covering came out less nose heavy then the one without the covering in this area. Make sure you...

    60" Extra 300 EXP

Tim, its a pretty straight forward setup, get the esc as far back under the battery tray as possible to allow for cg adjustment if using bigger batteries. Need dubro long arms as well, in case the plane isn't already setup with em. Xoar 15x8 prop on the torque V1 motor and/or 16x8 if you...

    60" Extra 300 EXP

That all depends mate. What's he got in it? They fly real sweet when set up as per the manual, one thing I found is not to try for 45 deg aileron throw. It really only needs about 30-35 degree aileron each way and rolls like a missile at that. Any more aileron and most likely will get blow...

my packs are side by side. My motor is a bit heavier then yours so my packs are right against the wing tube. You'll need standoffs, I use 3" DA standoffs and all works well. Your motor is a bit longer so I'm not sure how much you will need, but the 70" extra cowl is adjustable when building...

good choice mate, the yellow sort of appeals to one gender stereotype maybe?? Mind you though, if youre one of the guys that has trouble with orientation at height, I bet the yellow one stands out like anything.

No issue with a 20" prop on the 70" mate. with that motor you can easy swing a 20x8 Xoar and the planes a blast and heaps stable on that size prop. I found hovers and harriers super stable on 20", but because the dm5320-300 isn't rated for violent stuff on that size I settled for 19x10...

Mate, that setup will struggle to 3D. You will need a decent 10s and above package to huck the 78". Most are running either the power140 or hacker A60-16M on 10s and 20-22" props.
