    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

Fantastic flying by Joe there Jim. Just a question, is he running the rudder as pull-pull on the electric setup or push-pull? He seems to have fantastic rudder response!

From what I've seen, it looks like it flys similar to the little 60" extra except with bigger motor and servos. I've got the futaba BLS157 HV servos on 2s lipos. And I will say this: they are damn fast. Much faster then the hitec 7245HV in the 60" and swinging these big surfaces its like a...

Shes a big bird Joe. I had the Pilot Sbach 87" late last year and this 91" dwarfs the 87" Sbach substantially.

    91" Extra 300-EXP ARF

All graphixed up ready to fly once the rain drys up. Geoff, how does your balance on the wing tube? Mine still tail heavy with rope around the wing tube, no fuel in tank.

Cute little 48 Joe. The 48" size just doesn't click with me any more, the 60" flys so much better and is awesome at the park. I run the little skywing 48" slick on 4s and its a blast and a half, still not sure its any tougher then a 48" EXP though but its lighter and that counts for...

Joe, that video of Daniel hammering the crap out of the 91" extra looks insane. I wonder if he used a 24x10 size or proped up with the bigger motor?

Thanks Craig. I'll let you know once I get to the edge. Firstly gotta get the 91" up and gassing, but nervous as my first gasser but I'm pretty well sorted thanks to here and GiantScaleNews for kit. I had DA 2.5" on the q80 previously on the 87" Sbach, but the cowl on the 88" edge is...

I will be doing a full write up for the electric edge, I am amazed at hw damn big it is compared to the pilotrc 87" Sbach I had last year. Those new exp elevators on the big edge are HUGE!

The 91" will be da60 on re2 pipe, bls157 all around. The 88" edge on hacker q80-8s and 12s5000 all hitec 7957 around on the edge 7950 on rudder. MXS, either the torque v2 or motrolfy on 6s and hitec 7245 All these will be on hv, the 91" on 2s 3000 lipos, the others on castle Bec and Bec pro...

Guys, just on the return leg of a road trip to DA Aus to pick up a car load of EXP's. A 91" extra, 2 x 88" edge EXP's and 64" MXS plus DA60 for the big extra. Doesn't look like much, but she's all packed in nice and secure for the 1500km trip back to base to begin the assembly on the...

    A big, fantastic RC trailer

My god, I could move the entire family into one of these and still have room to drag all my planes all over the country. Mind you though, at AUD1.69/L for 95RON fuel there's no chance I'd want to haul it around!!!

    60" Extra 300 EXP

If the 91" flys anything as well as the 60" extra I'm gonna be a happy man. As much as I love the 60" edge, this extra is sooooo sweet to fly. Have to be carful on KE with SFG's if you apply too much elevator I've found it tends to snap out occasionally. But then again the elevator has soo...

    60" Extra 300 EXP

I find with mine, that without the sfg's, rolls and snaps are very crisp and each point in 4 point and two point rolls is very sharp. With the sfg's it does the aggressive tumbles, pop tops, crankshafts etc with more control but loses some of that crispness with the rolls. Post stall flying...

    Wattaplane/Skywing 48" EPP/PLY hybrid Slick

This is the motor i'm running. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=17602 I know its hobbyking, but for the $$ I couldn't resist. Goes great on 4s. Lousy on 3s. I wouldn't think it could handle 70A without melting, but certainly doesn't get hot with 50A on 4s...

    Wattaplane/Skywing 48" EPP/PLY hybrid Slick

Gary, 4s2200 is plenty. I can hammer hard for 5.30 minutes and still land with 25% left. I'm probably over cooking the $25 hk motor with the apc 13x6.5 prop but who cares for the price. I flew them both back to back this morning and by golly they behave almost the same. The skywing is...

    Wattaplane/Skywing 48" EPP/PLY hybrid Slick

Gary, I know it's a big statement but I can say this. 3dhs slick, had quite a bit of aileron and elevator ke mixing to fly true. Skywing slick, zero mixing. Yes it does have a foam covering and the drag that comes with it, but on 4s the punch out is faster than my 51" and tumbles more...

    Wattaplane/Skywing 48" EPP/PLY hybrid Slick

I'd only ever done the Skywing kits previously on 3s lipos. This slick I have on 4s2200 and I'd say its as responsive if not more responsive then my 51" AJ slick on 4s. True tumbler.

    Wattaplane/Skywing 48" EPP/PLY hybrid Slick

Guys, I didn't see this thread until now. I've had this 48" slick for a couple of weeks now and absolutely love it. Takes a hell of a beating plus it handles the high energy stuff way better then other epp planes I own and practice with. https://vimeo.com/64616635 I run mine on 4s2200...
