Just a thought Sleepy....how much 35mm film do you think you would have burned up if the digital camera had not been invented yet? Thanks for the coverage.

    Exhaust leak grrr

Why would they have a vendetta against Red Green? Sure he used a lot of duct tape, but his heart was really in the right place........oh you are talking about a different RG.

The political correct bunch will want that name changed to "native american head''. Lol

    Exhaust leak grrr

I had to file down the mufflers on the vv twin. They would rock back and forth because the casting was so p-poor. Just on one of them.

Permatex hi-temp red rtv works great. +1 on sanding the 2 surfaces.

    Oil debate

It's been working fine for me. I have never taken my engine apart to see how dirty it is either. I used to use Echo synthetic and that worked ok too.

    Turnigy CA-80

With a 24x10 3 blade Biela, we are getting 5988 wats and 147 amps. Flight time is only 6 minutes with 12s 5000 mah.

    Turnigy CA-80

Once again this motor impresses us. Although we may jump up to a 100cc turnigy for longer flight times, this outrunner does pretty good in this 27 lb plane.

IMAC 93" AJ Laser - Electrified

3 blades are awesome for imac. They slow the plane down nice. I can't wait for the maiden video.

IMAC 93" AJ Laser - Electrified

What kv? You should be able to get 8 to 9 minutes out of those batteries. Motrofly makes a great motor.

Its great to see more guys doing big electrics. What outrunner are you going with and are you doing a 2 or 3 blade prop?

    Carnage

Here that one is. And by the way, my motor mount stayed on. I miss that plane.

    Carnage

I eventually bought that plane from him. It was my first large scale. 88inch span. It eventually met it's demise due to my stupidity. Mounted a gopro to the same spot and did a quick takeoff into a nasty wind. Too tailheavy and not enough experience to fly a tailheavy cub. Wanna see that video?

Bummer. I am looking to get out of collision and back to my roots. Kind of a drive for me.

    Carnage

My buddy likes to epoxy his motor mounts to his wood electric planes. His theory is that if he crashes, the motor will pop off and not wreck his firewall. Interesting theory......except for this problem.

Show us your cowl exit air pics

Does that make your plane climb at higher speeds, or is there no effect?

    PAU Owners Thread

Just curious. I am running the A9 and I usually use hitec servos and program them not to fight each other but on this plane if I go with savox, they are not programmable. Just seeing what other people say works well. I am looking at the Powerbox stuff.

    PAU Owners Thread

Great! I have not got mine together yet so I am glad we are being made aware of this. I might have to hit Fastenal and look for black oxide bolts for those. Are you running a powerbox or match box or just programmable servos?
