    Unbiased answer?

I am a week away from buying an engine for my 36% Pau edge and am looking at buying the DA 120 for it. My question is......wait for it.......... Does the DA 120 shake worse than the dle 120. I would prefer that this question does not turn into a weiner contest like it would on the other forum. I...

Peak Models 32% Extra 330 SC

There sure is a lot of jibber jabber going on here! No talking, no talking! j.k. Those peak model planes look like they are built similar to the aerobeez that is built alot like the redwing.

    VVRC 40cc Twin

I am thinking the prop blocking the holes is a good possibility. I widened them and it seemed to be better but I will have to try it on a hot day to be sure.

So the 1/4 inch longer pipe on the right is better? As far as cold fuel, I addressed that issue by putting a tunnel inlet on the front of the cowl so outside air blasts directly onto the carb. We figured that might be the case when it would deadstick and then would not immediately start. It...

    VVRC 40cc Twin

I flew it today 3 times and had no problems but it was only 66 degrees out. Temp gunning after landing said 170 degrees at the heads.

    VVRC 40cc Twin

I did already open the front inlets wider and I will be flying it in the next hour or so. I honestly believe it was vaporlocking due to the fuel line being real close to the rt muffler and to fresh cool air not getting to the carb. Another thing I just noticed last night, one muffler pipe is...

Thats actually not a bad idea. I wonder if the world models or H9 would fit? It just stumps me because my first 2 flights were great with not even a hiccup but that was the previous weekend that was 5 degrees cooler.

    Actual 100cc 3d planes?

I believe Herve is flying a DA85 in his 36% edge. There is a video on the tube. The only reason the 120 engine is so popular now is for high energy freestyle. Otherwise a 100 is perfect for 3d flying in any of these light planes. The 120 makes them fly like giant foamies.

    VVRC 40cc Twin

I did widen the "nostrils" on tuesday and have not had a chance to fly it again. If I cut anymore out of the cowl, it will defeat the purpose of having a cowl. I temp gunned it right after landing the 2nd time I flew it and it was at 210 degrees. If this engine will only keep running with the...

I also have ply spacers between the cowl and the fuse so air can escape out the sides.

I am running the stihl ultra in mine as per vv recommendations. I doubt the oil is causing a problem.

I have one of the small plug versions in a cub. It starts easy but I am dealing with heat issues. The idle is awesome. The control surfaces don't shake while sitting on the ground like a single does.
