    72" Extra 330SC

It is NOT too much motor for that plane. I have a PTE36 in mine and it's quite a powerhouse and a great match for the plane. I would assume a DLE35 would perform very similar to the PTE.

3D foamy for up to 15 mph winds!

Saying what yoiu just said makes you a perfect candidate for a gyro. You're not scared of wind, because you're obviously good enough a pilot to handle it. But the wind kills so much of your flight envelope that it takes the fun out of the flying. A correctly configured gyro will help you with...

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

Yeah, it's the 4H field. Also a very nice field, but no improvements either. Gets a little crowded some weekends. GCA is a very nice club too. Solar-powered charging station rocks. I'll be out of town next weekend, but let's keep in touch and see if we can fly together some time this late...

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

Hiway where is Atoms RC'ers? I'm a member at SSS in North Branch Park. That's gotta be real close to you! I'm also a member at GCA up in Washington, NJ. We gotta get together and fly some time!

3D foamy for up to 15 mph winds!

There are only three fool-proof ways of dealing with wind: Skill, mass and motor power. So unless you're insanely skilled, flying a foamie in wind will always be a challenge. However, if I would do it all again and learn from scratch, I'd probably go for something gyro stabilized. What radio do...

    Aeroplus 35cc / 76" Edge 540 from Limitless Aero

(This is not a bash of this plane. Read to the end...) I have to admit: I didn't really fall in love with this plane for the first few flights. It felt heavy, sluggish and had some wing rock and wing drop tendencies. But since Aeroplus is a top brand, I figured there must be something wrong...

    NJSwede stopping by

Actually, we're much closer than that. GCA is near Washington, NJ, which is about 10 miles north of Clinton if my memory serves me. I think the club you're thinking of is "Top of New Jersey". Where do you normally fly? I'm also a member at the club in the North Branch Park (Somerset Signal Senders).

    NJSwede stopping by

Hi! Some of you may know me as a user of most forums and an admin of one particular forum. Anyway, I had to stop by and check out what the buzz is about. Looks like a cozy place. I'm not the world's biggest giant scale pilot, just three 25%-ers (does that even count as giant scale?) and...

    2014 3D Hobbyshop / Extreme Flight - TENNESSEE Fly-Low-In - FLI Event

The EF edge will be perfect. There were tons of 50-60cc extras and edges flying in the NJ competition.

Tuned pipe on a DA50. How many dB?

Unfortunately, I have to deal with new noise restrictions at one of my fields. Anything flown on a Sunday needs to meet <90dB @ 10ft. I haven't tested it yet, but I have a feeling my DA50 with a single pipe side dump is going to fail that with quite a margin. So I need to do something about my...

3DHobbyShop 71" Slick motor box rebuild

My popsicle-stick based repair only lasted so long. The weekend before the NJ FLI, I pulled out the firewall in a KE-spin and pancaked hard. Obviously, the motor box was now junk, but I also pulled out the landing gear. So I went and ordered a motor box repair kit from 3DHS. For about $30, you...
